The
Avengers try to get ready to go rescue the Scarlet Witch captive on Arkon's
world. Quicksilver is just a teensie-weensie bit excited. Oh, and the
Black Widow announces to Goliath that she wants to break up. Eventually,
Thor and Iron Man are along for the ride to confront Akron and his wedding
plans.
A bit more action this time, with more warriors clad in outrageous costumes. In fact, this mix of barbarian and futuristc styles is a real eye-opener. What conquerant wouldn't want to rule an empire with the Scarlet Witch at his side?
Some newcomers to the team (Vision, Black Panther) get to experience
Quicksilver's temper up close and personal, and the experience gets
very
lukewarm reception. The presence of Thor and Iron Man seems like an afterthought,
though. As for the Black Widow breaking up with Goliath, well, was
that
such a big surprise? Is anyone tired of these famous rings around
Arkon's world always giving out?
