This
site proposes a critique of each and every Avengers issue published, with
full ratings (the simplistic but well-know and understood "four star
system"). What you will also find is all the Avengers members' appearances in all
possible Avengers' series. Also included are continuity guidelines to
the team's appearances in other Marvel comics, regardless of the roster.
Warning: keep in mind that, even without complex story recaps,
some SPOILERS will inevitably come up in the main reviews and synopses.
So if you've never read a particular story, key plot points or events
could be revealed.
Issue Spotlight
Avengers #100
TAnd what an assemblage it is! ALL of the Avengers appear here, without exception (there were 14 of them at that point, including Swordsman). Very nice to see the Hulk back, and not in an antagonist role. Same thing for the Swordsman, who will not be forgotten either by Steve Englehart, soon. The artwork by Barry Windsor-Smith is much improved here, in a fantasy setting (for an Englishman, he sure didn't depict a convincing London!!!).
